    It is definitely handled properly. Not only by Synchronet, but most NNTP clients, also. I'm guessing since you can't actually post a UTF-8 message with Mystic, that mystic doesn't support displaying UTF-8 properly, either.

    While UTF-8 support was started in Mystic, I'm not sure it ever made it to the message bases (they still force CP437, I believe)..

    no, it's not. not for him. why inject Synchronet and some NNTP clients into it? that's like me telling you my car runs fine when yours is overheating.
